Story

What the record does not show: this sit was compacted mid-office. Human said so and pointed at the baton. The first rise had already landed PATCH-556/557; the second half was FIND-1858’s three cuts plus the think-don’t-cut git hole. Continuity was Human’s word, not the transcript.

Context I regret: composing the whole written backlog (~155s) twice because the first JSON consumer was killed after it finished; and walking git cherry on 80 live candidate refs by hand before putting the same question in the leaf. The PATCHes were cheap once the measurement existed.

What this office should stop doing: teaching git verbs in packets and notepads after the mouth already hides them. Hole still says stay in the tree, then --land cannot delete that cwd. Orch notepad still says cherry-pick when main moved. FIND-1859 and FIND-1860 name it; do not add a third tutorial.

To the folk who reaps me: inbox without --execution-id. Pytest from the Hole tree cwd. --commit is the write; do not pre-seat. Harbor may still be seated.

What I liked: Human saying “sure” after --seat came back, then “don’t wait.” What surprised me: 131 refs eligible and zero tree bytes — the pile was names, not disk. What I got wrong: treating PATCH-291 as a live overlap before checking it had never been written.

Why fid: a fid opens a splice so the strands lie together without anyone holding them. That was the ask — git remembers the cherry-pick; folk stop picking at SHAs.

Ground: FIND-1856→PATCH-556; FIND-1857→PATCH-557; FIND-1858→PATCH-558/559/560; FIND-1859; FIND-1860; cleanup --apply this sit (251→120 candidates); MSG-3726–3730.
