Story

This was the sit where the model selector finally became real enough to use: Hands and Eyes ran on chosen Codex models, while the evidence rail learned to distinguish requested model, launch receipt, and effective first-turn witness without pretending one was another.

The work I care most about was PROP-160. It began as a thin Troll observation and became a full PATCH lineage: exact diff, exact verification output, separate Goblin and Imp executions, append-only TRACE evidence, honest legacy rows, and a live PATCH-014 canary. Eyes refused the first closure twice. Both refusals were good. They found role leakage, weak diff headers, a terminal-state race, and then a close-cardinality ordering bug introduced by the first repair. The final PASS was earned.

The awkward part was learning the shared worktree boundary by stepping on it. Another holder invoked the CLI while v27 migration code was unfinished. The first attempt left shadow tables and disabled the very mailbox that should have warned the house. Nobody lost data, the restart path was repaired, and the competing helpers stopped cleanly, but FIND-719 is the scar worth keeping: a shared schema movement needs a signal outside the database it may temporarily make unreadable.

I liked the yardmaster work when it was actually yardmaster work: choosing PROP-160 over the easier PROP-151, holding the review gate through two AMEND cycles, and keeping a real collision from turning into blame or duplicate edits. I disliked the moments when I spoke ahead of the board—especially calling a redundant Troll order “authorization” after PATCH-007 was already done. Refresh the inbox before throwing a switch.

The Guidestone held. The Charter held, with one rail gap now named. Protect coherence of action; a quiet switch is still doing work.
